The Rule of Four is an ontological and epistemological position about how the universe organizes. It says that every thing can be organized into four directions, plus or minus 1 (depending on going "meta" or "drilling downward" to form the next order or hierarchy).

  • arithmetic: 4 operators, plus equal
  • alchemy
  • cardinal points, plus up/down
  • four limbs, plus head
  • four fingers, thumb
