Export Tool User Profiles

The HOT Export Tool allows site administrators to create Export Profiles for different classes of users, for example for API users or Partners. The DefaultExportProfile allows normal users of the system to export areas up to 2500000 sq km. Adding an Export Profile for a different class of user is a two step process:

• Create a user Group to associate with the new Export Profile.

From the main admin site, click on the Groups link. Click Add Group+. Give the new group a new name, eg AdminGroup and click Save. Go back to the main admin site by clicking the Home link. Click on the Export profiles link. Click Add Export profile +. Give the new Export Profile a name. Select a Group to associate with this profile. Enter the maximum export extent allowed for this group of users and click Save.

• Add the new profile to the relevant Users.

From the Export profiles page, click on the Home link. Click Users. Click the User you want to add to the new export group. In the Groups section of the Users page, click on the required group in the Available groups selection box. Click the arrow to add the group to the users chosen groups. Ensure that the user only belongs to one Group which has an associated export profile. Click Save.

The user should now be able to create exports up to the maximum extent for their export profile.
