While the code for Jedi Academy's binaries (jasp.exe/jamp.exe/jagamex86.dll/jampgamex86.dll/jampcgamex86.dll/uix86.dll) is now open, the game assets are not. And there's no playing the game without the models, animations, maps etc.

There are basically 4 ways of getting around that:

  1. Buying the game gets you all the assets. (Jedi Academy is available on steam or on gog, along with the rest of the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series )
  2. The demo's files might work with some tinkering. (Not guaranteed to still work and definitely not recommended)
  3. Develop your own version of the Jedi Knight assets
  4. Download a "total conversion" mod that does not depend on the original assets (no guarantees here)
