I am not sure encourage the flow of ideas makes sense on its own.

Also, the last paragraph does not flow so well IMO.

About:

open licenses [GPL and GPL-compatible, BSD, MIT, Apache, Mozilla, Eclipse, DTFYW].

Do you actually mean open: (e.g. GPL and GPL-compatible, etc)

Or you are restricted only to those ones?

I started from 2014 italian description. Probably it would be better to merge the first two phrases like that:

Zencoders is a group of software developers and informatics enthusiasts leveraging knowledge sharing amongst its members to realize common projects and develop innovating ideas.

@deepskyblue86 I tried to follow your suggestions.
The very last bit, about the group joining policy, was not easy. Hope it makes sense
