Compiling GLOOME on Windows

Marrub edited this page Aug 2, 2015 · 3 revisions

For the most part, the process of compiling GLOOME is identical to the process of compiling GZDoom. Thus, most of the information in this ZDoom wiki article will apply to GLOOME as well.

However, there are a few differences to note:

  • You need OpenAL Soft instead of FMOD Ex. This ZIP contains an older version which is known to be more stable with GLOOME, but you can still get it from the OpenAL Soft page without troubles.
  • You need GLEW
  • You need libsndfile. A windows development version of this library seems to be rather difficult to find, so you can download it here for convenience.
  • Optionally, you can use mpg123 for MP3 support.
