Our current version for x/net is 0.21.0, which does not seem to have any CVE warnings. We can thus close this PR. Some observations regarding updates on transitive dependencies:We depend on x/net (and many others) transitively. Many transitive dependencies are not set to the most recent published version, as we rely on whatever our direct dependencies specify. This should be fine as long as the transitive dependencies don't have security issues. Unless we set as an explicit policy to have transitive dependencies set to their latest (or recent) version, I'd recommend continuing with the current approach of fixing dependencies (direct or transitive) that have security warnings, while keeping direct dependencies to reasonably recent versions. An alternative would be to try to keep everything up to date with the latest released versions, but I don't think it is worth the effort. Hence, we can close this PR |
