Non-NCBI TaxIDs -- Mapping to NCBI?

Hello,

I saw in the documentation that there are non-NCBI taxonomic IDs sourced from BioProject. I'm wondering if anyone has been able to map these to NCBI taxonomic IDs (on the species-level) or if there's a part of the database which I can use. I've been using Kraken for a metagenomics project and have been struggling to use Kraken since it oftentimes has only family-level NCBI taxonomic IDs and above, but will provide non-NCBI species-level IDs.
