NANOPHOTONICS AND OPTOELECTRONICS MATERIALS RESEARCH GROUPS

This organization comprises two research groups. The NANOPHOTONICS group is led by Dr. R.E. Balderas-Navarro and Dr. L.F. Lastras-Martinez, and focuses on studying the optical properties of nanostructured semiconductor structures using experimental spectroscopy techniques such as Reflectance Anisotropy Spectroscopy (RAS), Photoreflectance (PR), Ellipsometry (SE), and Photoluminescence (PL).

The OPTOELECTRONICS MATERIALS group is led by Prof. Dr. A. Latras-Martinez and Dra. L.E. Guevara-Macias, and also focuses on studying the optical properties of semiconductor materials, with a particular emphasis on optoelectronic applications.

Our group aims to develop open source software tools that enable high-quality analysis of experimental results and contribute to the development of electron band structure calculations.
