Non-geoscience libraries that use xarray #201

@andersy005 Some quick suggestions for libraries that use xarray in other fields that are not geosciences:

  1. OMFIT
  • Plasma physics integrated modelling and analysis framework
  • Code is open-source in the sense that if you email them they will allow you to see the repo...
  1. xBOUT
  • Opening / analysis wrapper for once widely-used plasma simulation code
  • I wrote this in my PhD - probably a bit outdated and possibly a bit small but still being used

I feel like there were others that I can't remember now... Maybe leave this issue up in case other people have suggestions?

Oh there is a tool xagg, which was created for climate econometrics

there is also sgkit, which apparently is used in the life sciences to analyze genomics.

Oh that looks like a good one! Also probably a good idea to include to show the relevance to biosciences in the context of our CZI grant.
