I'm trying to figure out if an issue I'm experiencing is related to BetterDisplay, and if so, how:
I'm using a Dell U4021QW. The DisplayPort (+ USB B) port is permanently connected to a Windows 11 Desktop. The USB4 port is sometimes connected to a M1 Max MacBook Pro (14 in, Sonoma). Mouse and keyboard are connected to the monitor via USB A, and when both computers are connected, I switch between displaying one computer or the other on the monitor (and the peripherals are connected to the displayed computer).
I've found twice now that if I disconnect (the power symbol) the display via BetterDisplay (so that I can use the two computers side-by-side, with the MacBook still charging via the display USB4 connection, it seems like the peripherals stop working with the Windows OS, even if: they are disconnected/reconnected, the display is unplugged/replugged, the display is disconnected from power and hard rebooted. Only restarting Windows seems to fix the issue. Even more weirdly, mice/keyboards directly connected to Windows (not via the display) seem to stop working as well, but the OS is still perfectly controllable via Remote Desktop/Parsec.
I'll do more investigation myself, but just wondering if anyone has had a similar issue.
