Keep track of opened items and allow to navigate between them #856

When opening an item add it to the list
Add short-cut to go back and forward in the list
Also add visual UI elements for this?

Problem: this way it's possible to navigate to items which are not visible in project view.

Would Tabs be a better solution for this?
