Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

N/A

Describe the solution you'd like

As a user of an openDTU box, I would like to watch easily the availabe power in order to know when to start my electrical appliances and so to optimize my energy consomption.
This could be achieved by connecting the openDTU to a power-meter (the feature could be retrieved from the fork openDTI-OnBattery) + displaying the feed-in power on the web interface and on the screen.

Describe alternatives you've considered

@jege31

yes, as you have stated, power meter and power meter display functionality, as well as control features, are already implemented at the add-on project OpenDTU OnBattery.

OpenDTU OnBattery is always based on the latest OpenDTU release, with minor testing delays before publishing a new release.

if anything is missing, please don't hesitate to open a discussion at OpenDTU-OnBattery Discussions

Hi all and thanks for those great job.

Why do you not combine those 2 repo ? I'm pretty sure a all in one solution will be better if you work all together.

imagine opendtu to be like a car.
many car owners do not want and need built in tuning features, as they are focused on simplicity and reliability.
that's why it is good to have a tuning option, but not forced onto everyone.

be assured, all knowledge is shared, either in public or in private with each other.
furthermore, due to the interchangeable ota flash compatibility, there is no need to put everything into one drawer, as everyone can choose freely, which drawer is to be opened today, and which drawer is to be opened tomorrow.

greetings,
metachuh
