[Feature]: Customizable layout of the window panes in the Execute SQL tab #3573

Describe the new feature

Allow the user to change the default view for the three window panes (SQL editor, table view, results) to be vertical instead of being horizontally stacked

Does this feature exist in another product or project? Please provide a link

Well, this should be an option, but for me on Windows, (using the nightly version) it looks like this is broken.

If you click 'Edit' in the menu and 'Preferences' then the 'SQL' tab, do you see the 'Horizontal tiling' option near the bottom?
If you change that, that should make a difference. In the nightly, it doesn't appear to.

Bizarrely on my pc at home, it works fine. Weirder still.

Thank you for informing me about this, I did not know that this option was available.

I am appreciative that the developers took the time to include this feature. That being said, it would be nice if it was easier to access, and was more intuitively labeled. Perhaps the UX / UI team could become involved. If anyone from that team reads this comment; a toggle view button. located on the command button ribbon, on the Execute SQL tab would be convenient.

Following your instructions, I located the check box and toggled it between both states. Unfortunately it did not change the view. Perhaps this needs to be reported as a bug?
