Introduction
👋 Hello there!
My name is Mateusz (Matt) Kadlubowski.
My expertise is in Full-stack/Front-end engineering & design, project management and dev-ops.
I am a Terminal Nerd 🤓 who loves using CLI/TUI tools to tackle challenges or build new project(s).
My current focus
🌟 I aspire to become a full-time open-source developer/community manager.
The "What"
❓ I am currently building a community - "Terminal Nerds" - for people who are passionate about solving problems using terminal tools only.
The "Why"
💡 The idea of using a terminal doesn't have to be so overwhelming, tedious or dull.
On the contrary, using a terminal can save time and resources if we pick the right tools for our everyday tasks. For example, there is often a moment where we don't need to download GUI program(s) for a simple task(s).
Currently, no reliable and single resource could help us gain knowledge or explore existing terminal tools/programs to find the right one for our current needs without any bias.
The "How"
🎯 To tackle this challenge, I am building a centralized place, a la_"Pokédex"_ for the existing, maintained CLI/TUI programs - organized in a user-friendly and beginner-friendly way, to help people hop into using them, without fear. I start from the fundamentals. I am configuring a healthy and open-source friendly infrastructure. Brand assets. And the website/platform. I am bringing the "Terminal Nerds" project idea into life.
Sponsorship purpose
🎯 Becoming a full-time open-source developer will allow me to solely focus on the Terminal Nerds, without the stress of lack of financial independence. But unfortunately, I work remotely, and I don't have enough resources to speed it up. So regardless of the sponsorship goal progress, I spend my free time on this challenge—one step at a time.
Your sponsorship and faith in me can change. For that, I would be very grateful and at your disposal with my knowledge. Thank you for reading!
