I am using the sncosmo functionality to evaluate magnitudes from spectral series I evaluate from a physical model. The shape of the spectrum is (time, frequency). The bandpass magnitude however fails when any part of the spectrum goes to zero, even if that is far from a given bandpass. Potentially due to the interpolation that sncosmo is doing under the hood but I am not sure.
Thanks for pointing this out. I don't have a lot of time to track down the error at the moment so anything you can do to isolate the problem the quickly I'll be able to check it out. Thanks.

I can send a minimal example if necessary. It is through the software here (https://github.com/nikhil-sarin/redback)
