Can Slint a to build native user interfaces for desktop and embedded applications written in C#?

I know there is a third party project for this https://github.com/microhobby/slint-dotnet, and I believe I remember seeing some discussion about contributing it upstream for official Slint support, but I'm not sure where that is at, or when it might happen.
