Does not seem like you have been very active for quite a while, so let me just offer my appreciation for your Programmers Notepad, right off! I am dealing with only one issue, but it is of great importance to me, as it enables me to earn my living. ÿþ or BOM, is very simply handled in Programmers Notepad, apparently. I set it in the encoding to be OFF, and save, and it should be GONE. If that is the case, way cool! But how can I see that character is there or not in a plain text file? And can I set the BOM to off as a permanent preference, so I load a file, save it, and BOM is gone? I paid $90 U.S. for Sublime and cannot figure out how to use it to get rid of BOM. I dl'd VIM and VIMg and cannot figure out how to use it to get rid of BOM. But your little program may be doing the job, but I just cannot tell if it is or not. Anyway, I will commit to giving you a hundred bucks, U.S. if all this can be working out in PN, if that still serves as some incentive. Best Wishes from Gregory Alter
