Astral v2 outputs dates in microseconds

Migrating from Astral v1 to v2 we had an unexpected "bug" which was related on how we were formerly dealing with dates.
V2 outputs also microseconds and therefore downstream code formats have to be reviewed (or outputs modified)

is the microseconds output a desired feature or maybe is an hyper-Acuracy that has low usability?
