Noticed a discrepancy in the documentation (linked below) regarding MRU cache policy. It's a minor thing, just wanted to get it corrected.
It currently states: "Most Recently Used (MRU), which prioritizes the removal of the most recently accessed data." However, based on my understanding of cache policies, there may be a typographical error in this statement.
The correct behaviour of the MRU cache policy should prioritize the retention of the most recently accessed data, not its removal.
Source: https://redis.com/glossary/cache-memory/#:~:text=Cache%20memory%20is%20typically%20divided,has%20varying%20sizes%20and%20speeds.
Error in:
"The decision-making process regarding which data to retain in the cache and which to discard is governed by a cache policy. Common policies include Least Recently Used (LRU), which discards the data that has remained unused for the longest duration, and Most Recently Used (MRU), which prioritizes the removal of the most recently accessed data."
Change it to:
"The decision-making process regarding which data to retain in the cache and which to discard is governed by a cache policy. Common policies include Least Recently Used (LRU), which discards the data that has remained unused for the longest duration, and Most Recently Used (MRU), which prioritizes the retention of the most recently accessed data."
Apologies if I'm in the wrong discussion group. Just wanted to bring this tiny thing to attention.
