When trying to install Perkeep (Perkeep-armv5-8b537a66307cf41a659786f1a898c77b46303601) on my Synology DS216se (which contains a MARVELL Armada 370 88F6707) on DSM 6.2.1-23824 Update 2 in the validation phase the installation fails with the message "This package is not supported on the platform of DiskStation or is incompatible with the current DSM version. ".

This makes me very sad 😢

I did note that the file name contains "armv5", but am not familiar with the build process (build_syno.go doesn't mention ARM versions?) or how to debug a synology package installation. Given some pointers I'd gladly be willing to put some effort into fixing this.

@solarkraft things are a bit blurry in my head atm, but at some point I was in the process of improving some things in the install process, in: https://perkeep-review.googlesource.com/c/perkeep/+/17866
Maybe having a look at that CL will help you understand a few things.
In any case, all of the "knowledge" about it is indeed in misc/docker/synology , and in the online synology doc on how to package things (I forgot the URL for it, and I think they changed it anyway).

I get the same issue trying to install it on a DS218j (MARVELL Armada 385 88F6820) running DSM 6.2.3-25426 Update 3. Did you guys ever figure it out?

I haven't made any progress, instead opting to host it somewhere else (and ultimately stop using it), sorry.
