Script changes not taken into account

Hello everyone,
I have tried to modify several .py files, such as config.py to add users or ./server/src/projectconfig.py and ./server/src/document.py to sort attributes in alphabetical order. But then when I run the python2 standalone.py command to open brat, the changes are not taken into account. How can I make them effective?
