Split The Functionality Of Clear CANCELLED & FINISHED #2753
Comments
The "Clear Finished" button in the bottom bar of the downloads tab clears finished and filtered (rejected by your download filters) downloads. Use the Clear All menu next to it if you need to clear other downloads. |
Ok, so Clear Finished will NOT also clear Cancelled - I mentioned it because there is the option in the SETTINGS to do both. |
Please clarify, are you suggesting a menu item needs to be added, or does the above answer resolve your query? |
I think that a menu (SETTINGS) item, in the same location as the current checkbox, would be much clearer :-) |
I don't fully understand the issue. You are only talking about downloads, right? If you're referring to the "Auto-clear finished/filtered downloads from transfer list" option, then cancelled downloads are never removed, only finished and filtered. The "Clear Finished" button does the same, except it's a manual action. Not to be confused with uploads, where cancelled uploads can be auto-cleared. |
@mathiascode - my sincerest apologies! I just realized I was looking at the checkbox item under UPLOADS, not DOWNLOADS in the SETTINGS! That one includes CANCELLED. It seems it is good as currently implemented, it was just my lack of understanding & clarity. Maybe just a ToolTip or something on the DOWNLOADS option to indicate that it does NOT clear CANCELLED entries :-) |
No strings are being added or changed right now, because the translators won't have enough time before release candidate. We'll have to pick this issue up again for 3.3.1. |
Thanks for the consideration :-) |
Describe the solution you'd like
As a Downloading User, I need the ability to clear downloaded/completed/finished files SEPARATELY from any that are CANCELLED, so that files that were inadvertently CANCELLED (for a variety of unknown reasons), do not get removed from the queue and therefore the INTENDED download becomes INCOMPLETE.
