I don't know if it's a superior option or not, but we utilize MailHog's API for integration tests, which other users may also do. Given that the nhost CLI is a development tool, this change could be significant and disruptive from the user's perspective (it would necessitate rewriting a substantial number of tests for us, for example). In the case of Minio, it could be simpler but seems unnecessary and risky. If I'm not mistaken, Bitnami images operate as a non-root user, which might pose problems in certain environments. Considering this is a development tool, ensuring stability and usability across various environments is a significant worry. If you have more info about benefits, mailpit's API compatibility with mailhog or any other datapoint that may help taking a decission here don't hesitate to let us know. Regards |
