Sprite generation python scripts seem to be broken in Blender >= 2.80 #10

Additionally: opening with a newer Blender version renders incorrectly, since "blender render" is now removed. The materials need to be updated for cycles/eevee.

Since there is a blender LTS now, it might be worth make it all work with the LTS. I know Blender has generally had the policy of breaking all python API compatibility every release which is one of the reasons we haven't been keeping the scripts updated.

Follow-up, I've gotten some physically-based rendering shaders up and running, so I do think basically moving everything to physically-based stuff that should work with newer blender is something we will have to do eventually.
