When publishing a pre-release version of an extension, VSCode is automatically rolling back to the last stable version.
Followed the versioning steps outlined by VSCode here https://code.visualstudio.com/api/working-with-extensions/publishing-extension#prerelease-extensions

Steps to reproduce:

  1. The extension was on stable 1.8.4
  2. Pre-release created at 1.9.0 (as per the ODD/EVEN guidelines set by VSCode)
  3. VSCode shows "Install Pre-Release" in the market place
  4. Install the pre-release
  5. Restart VSCode or wait some time
  6. Market place has rolled the extension back to 1.8.4 and VSCode shows "Install Pre-Release"
