Please describe the problem

Describe the bug
The whiptail boot option list says at the top that one can press the a key to abort selection, but this doesn't work; only Esc works.
Possibly this line is to blame?

To Reproduce

  1. Navigate to the boot menu list
  2. Press a (perhaps press some arrow keys first since that's what I did)
  3. Observe that nothing happens upon pressing a
    (4. Press Esc to go back)

Expected behavior
Same as for pressing Esc (abort).
