Need to be able to set preferences and recording parameters, and eventually profiles to be able to set different groups of preferences for different types of screencasts.

See also Issue #31. There seems to be no Ruby plugin yet for GSettings, the GNOME 3 settings mechanism, and the GNOME 2 one seems to have disappeared.
