strings are being sorted as [ABCabc] rather than properly interspersed [AaBbCc] - sorting should probably not be case-sensitive.

I think this issue belongs to https://github.com/intermine/intermine/
im-tables-3 doesn't sort the results itself, it just displays what is returned from the query.
