Description

(In the case we were trying: +b U:*ed!*@*#IRC4Fun-bans -- we are trying to redirect potential ircp recon bots from channels while giving real users the ability to identify, etc)

Describe the results you received:
Joins the channel as normal instead of the -bans channel.

Describe the results you expected:
Expected matching (unidentified) users to be redirected to the -bans channel instead of the channel it was set in.

Output of ./bin/inspircd --version:
InspIRCd-3.15.0-aba177f00

As extbans don't have a standard defined mask format and can expand the allowed characters/format, it's not really possible for the standard ban redirect feature to work with them.
I recommend (and personally use) the contrib module extbanredirect. It works as a matching extban, of which matching extbans are able to follow.

Thanks @genius3000 -- we went with this solution after Sadie mentioned it earlier, and it works perfectly!
