hi,
i keep getting an error message that says"Error! -port \.\COM# cant be opened".
i tried all the COM numbers and it doesnt open any of them. i have the software that came with the meter and its reading it on COM3, so im not sure whats causing it to give that error. i had it working yesterday but it stopped
Thanks!

Hi, I had to download these drivers too https://ftdichip.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/CDM21228_Setup.zip

Might seem dumb, but I also fixed most of my errors by just pressing the RS232 button on the multimeter. I didn't realize I had to do that. Additionally, in the "Docs and Software" section of the webpage for the BK 393 (the model that replaces the 390A), you can install the software that allows for easy installation of the proper drivers. This also makes me wonder if the 393 model is compatible with this software.
