In the issue hotosm/osm-analytics#85 we have some mockups, but it's not well defined how the filters should work.

Proposal:

  • When we click in a filter link, filter the tools of that category, in a "Tools" view. It would be possible to filter by category and organization.

Question: Do we need a detail view for each project/tool? It would make possible to show all the details we have about that tool, like the URL, code repository, organization, description, category...

I think that would be helpful but perhaps that's a second phase we can add? Let's start with the filtering and linking to the individual tools and then we can provide more information pages later.

I think that makes sense and sounds good to me. 👍

The filter behaviour is developed: 7ed15c6 😃

The filters are available in the url /filters/key/value, it can filter by any key present on the resources.yaml

I added a filter section on the homepage. It's still missing the Tools menu that was prototyped on hotosm/osm-analytics#85
