Cassandra driver for PHP is long due for large scale refactor. Many things need to be reorganized internally, and some breaking changes need to be made in order to make driver easier for maintenance. For this reason new branch v1.3.x will be created and all patched to currently used version, will be applied to this. Only security and bugfixes will be applied to v1 and new ongoing development will switch to master branch (which will from now on become unstable).
IF YOU'RE BUILDING CASSANDRA DRIVER FROM SOURCE (which most likely you are), SWITCH TO v1.3.x BRANCH, THIS IS CONSIDERED STABLE VERSION
