Title:
Issue with Password Recovery for PDFs on Intel UHD Graphics GPU with Hashcat v6.2.6-851-g6716447df
Description:
When attempting to use Hashcat to crack the password of a PDF file (Hash mode 10500), the application fails to recover the password with specific mask settings. The failure occurs only when running on a laptop with an Intel(R) UHD Graphics GPU. The same operations succeed on different hardware using the same version of Hashcat, suggesting a possible hardware or OpenCL runtime compatibility issue.
Additional context
The issue seems to be isolated to the laptop with Intel UHD Graphics, possibly pointing to a device-specific or OpenCL runtime-specific bug. It works fine with a different hardware (Intel Xeon) with intel opencl runtime

v6.2.6-851-g6716447df
6.5.0-28-generic #29~22.04.1-Ubuntu
Laptop thinkpad T14s with Intel(R) UHD Graphics GPU
Steps to Reproduce:
Create a password-protected PDF using the following commands:
Extract the hash from the protected PDF using:
john-1.9.0-Jumbo-1/run/pdf2john.pl protected.pdf | cut -d':' -f2 > hash
Attempt to recover the password with Hashcat using the following commands:
Note: In all the above attempts, Hashcat fails to recover the password.
When running with
hashcat hash -a3 'abcd01020?d'
hashcat successfuly retrieve the passwordExpected behavior
Hashcat should be able to recover the password as it does on other hardware
Hardware/Compute device (please complete the following information):
Diagnostic output compute devices:
clinfo output
Hashcat -I
LSPCI output
