It's on our list of things to look at but we have limited resources, so we'll get to it as soon as we have the bandwidth. Sorry it's not a very helpful statement.

Thanks @rhukster . That sounds good. At the moment it is working, but I still want to use gantry and so I need in further versions the compatibility without the plugin.
do you have any idea when it will be implemented (an approximate time is sufficient)
