Problem: a source of log noise are the "rejecting connection from xxx (rank N): client (0.61.2) version mismatched with server (0.62.0)"
messages, since they are printed each time a client attempts connection.

One thought is to record the error and add an option for flux overlay status to display the most recent connect errors from any offline nodes
