I wanted to read firmware from the chip with markings:
'GigaDevice
25LB128DSIG
AP2E625
HH2045'
It seemed like it wasn't supported, and I didn't have much experience, but I thought I could add support for this chip. To my surprise, it was recognized by flashrom as 'GD25LQ128C/GD25LQ128D/GD25LQ128E.' Still, read/erase/write/wp-status worked. I was saving logs, but due to some weird bug (Ubuntus GUI fault), only the erase log survived.
Even if I have all the logs, I don't think I can confidently say that all chips with this ID have been tested. So, is this information helpful?
Thank you for your contribution. The flashrom project does not handle GitHub issues or pull requests, since this repository on GitHub is just a mirror of our actual repository. Thus, we would like to encourage you to have a look at on our development guide and submit your patch to review.coreboot.org. Issues are handled over our ticket system. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to us. There are multiple ways to contact us.
