Winbond W25Q128.W Hang

Chip is detected Winbond W25Q128.W (16384 kB, SPI) but every read or write attempt hangs within a few seconds of command.

@tremendoza is this is issue still relevant ? I have a laptop with this chip (that's what flashrom reported by probing) with the following command, and flashrom could read it :

sudo flashrom -V -p internal:laptop=force_I_want_a_brick -r rom.bin > flashrom_read.log 2> flashrom_read.err.log

Was your probing internal or external with flashrom when you encountered the issue ?
