Gnome 45 is not supported and editing metadata.json does's solve the issue, apparently the imports in extension.js and prefs.js need to be updated, sadly I don't know how.

The extension need to be ported to gnome 45 as mentioned in this post https://gjs.guide/extensions/upgrading/gnome-shell-45.htm
