Currently the tags are monocategory and search is based on file name only.

The category system should be refactored so that one icon can be in multiple categories and search is via category, tags or filename.

I think keywords or an icon description would increase the findability even more than tags

Thanks for the suggestion! Keywords are imho the same as tags. Examples for a keyword would be for example PCR, which would then give you e.g illustrations such as a thermocycler, schematic PCR sketch etc.

The new api will come with full text search in

  • categories
  • tags
  • description
  • title
  • shortname
    In addition each icon will have a unique id that can be linked to other icons.
