Right now, it redirects to https://github.com/dart-lang/language/blob/main/working/macros/feature-specification.md

Not sure if we want at wiki page...or just add a readme.md to https://github.com/dart-lang/language/blob/main/working/macros/ or what

But we need to have something a bit more useful by I/O!

I believe that Marya has been discussing with Jake some docs to prepare in this space.

Tentatively assigning to her :)

I wonder if we want to put "meta-links" like this under some url prefix (similar go flutter's /go/ links, so that they don't "pollute" the "namespace" of actual content pages?

I'm planning a page at dart.dev/language/macros to be released by IO (can be earlier if needed).

It'll briefly talk about the full planned feature, and can link to the spec for more info. But mostly I was planning to only focus on the single serialization macro and how to use it. Sound good @kevmoo?

@mit-mit – I get it, but I was going for clean/simple for I/O slides

dart.dev/macros is just easier to remember, etc than dart.dev/go/macros 🤷

@MaryaBelanger – since nothing will be ready for the stable release, I'm not sure how important it is to have a page ready for I/O. @mit-mit and I had discussed just having a wiki or similar

Nothing, like not even the serialization macro?

Normally I agree with this sentiment, but since it's for I/O I feel like a site page is so much cleaner/more inviting/more "official" than a wiki page or readme :/ Maybe there's some context I'm missing about why this might be a bad practice.

If there will at least be the serialization macro, could I do a proof of concept page to try to convince you and Mit that it might be a good idea?

dart.dev/macros is just easier to remember, etc than dart.dev/go/macros 🤷

I prefer /go/macros

Not for stable, probably only in main (and behind a flag still).

We have had docs pages for experiments several times before (most of the native interop stuff has been in that state for over a year), so I think that is totally fine. I can take a stab at a stub of a page.

I can take a stab at a stub of a page.

I'll do that, thanks Michael. Issue for experiment page: #5692
PR (draft, will fill in shortly): #5693
