Please edit the third bullet to read “Tapentadol is a mu-opioid receptor agonist and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. MMEs are based on the degree of mu-opioid receptor agonist activity, but it is unknown if this drug is associated with overdose in the same dose-dependent manner as observed with medications that are solely mu-opioid receptor agonists.” Changes are highlighted in yellow.

Also, as we discussed earlier about the revised MME table. We need to make sure that the edits to the Table are revised here too. “Of note for the extra caution, In the 2022 CDC Clinical Practice Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for pain, there are not graduated methadone conversion factors depending on the daily dosage. The conversion factor for methadone is 4.7 regardless of methadone dosage.”
