Using jekyll-paginate-v2 with jekyll-theme-chirpy

Hi all,

I am looking to add some more features to my site, and some of them can be found in jekyll-paginate-v2, the successor to jekyll-paginage. I know that it is not supported directly by Github Pages, but I might be will to switch to local builds and just push the compiled _site up to GH pages if I can get the features I want.

Has anyone had any experience / luck incorporating V2 into Chirpy?

The features I like in the new version are: 1) pagination by category, 2) pagination by tag 3) pagination of collections other than posts.
