State of ckanext-issues extension?

This extension provides some rather important functionality IMHO.

Is it still maintained and are there any deployments out there?

It's not been in use for a couple of years on our site, dgu. The other main contributor was @joetsoi who may know, but the lack of commits suggests it has been left unmaintained. It would be great if you were able to do (or hire someone to) a spring clean and get it into shape. I don't think there's a lot needed to run it straight away, but there are some things to bear in mind with CKAN 3 and the move to python3 this year:

• controller - this is a pylons think, so will need converting to a flask view before we drop pylons some time this year.
• templates - although ckan has upgraded from bootstrap2 to 3 (or 4?) I can't see at glance any particular issues with this. Should be ok.
• python3 - there are probably some syntax that needs updating before we drop python2 this year
• CI - needs updating, such as to run the tests against python3 as well. Currently broken, but a fix looks likely here: ckan/ckanext-harvest@ac62951 A newer version of travis/circleci config can probably be taken from an up-to-date ckan extension
