While Chrome 121 unfortunately still needs a plugin to pretty-print JSON, Firefox's built-in JSON viewer is enabled by default since version 53 (April 2017). It seems to do the job very well, although JSONView still exists and is still being updated, with the latest December 2023 version even "[restoring] JSONView's ability to work in Firefox without having to manually disable the built-in JSON viewer." Unfortunately, its description being very outdated, it's not clear what advantages it has over the built-in viewer.
I remember installing a plugin for Chrome in 2019 (either JSON Formatter or JSON Viewer I believe) and it causing some regression, so I think a plugin should have considerable value to suggest it.
By the way, Firefox and Chrome are not the only browsers. Thankfully, Microsoft Edge highlights JSON quite well by default.
I suggest to stop mentioning Firefox in that tip, and perhaps clarify that JSONVue is just one of Chrome's JSON display plugins (or extensions, to use their terminology).
