I'm investigating supporting in-browser data visualisation in our environment. We have resource data in an S3 service, and are not using the CKAN datastore. I followed the instructions at https://docs.ckan.org/en/2.10/maintaining/data-viewer.html to enable the resource proxy, and added image_view and datatables_view to the list of plugs. When I go to a csv resource in our CKAN instance as admin, I'm not given any option to create views. If I go to a png image instance as admin, I'm able to create an Image view, but the image view does not display anything.
Questions:
Does the datatables view work with resource proxy and without the datastore being enabled
Is there any further config required for the resource proxy, or is it simply to add it to the list of plugins, as per the documentation
Which field in the resource metadata are the views expecting to use to load data?
