Ruby ships on Dec 25th every year and we update to the new version shortly afterwards. This work needs to be completed quickly so that we can test and validate all our products before we do the yearly major Infra release the first week of April. To start this we need to be able to build Ruby 3.1

  • Add the Ruby 3.1 path/sha to the definition
  • Update any version logic for patches to work with 3.1 if necessary
  • Update any patches that need to be regenerated for Ruby 3.1
  • Ensure that all platforms and architectures build on Ruby 3.1 (aix, solaris, freebsd, and PPC/ARM are key)
