Thanks for taking the time to contribute!

The following is a set of gudelines for contributing to the Brooklyn Connect Project, anywhere from on Belmont Avnue in Brownsville, to halfway across the world.

If you are in the BCJC Tech Lab Cohort

  • This project is built and guided by you!
  • Submit blog posts of your work and experience to the Tech Lab Site by logging in through Siteleaf, selecting "How Data Moves" and adding a "New Post" using the "Posts button on the right side.
  • Leave comments on the Curriculum Guide
  • Get a library card from any local library branch by filling out the online form, then picking your card up from a librarian. This will give you access to print resources on any topic you may be interested in, as well as online courses through sites like Lynda.com.
  • Starting in mid-April, we'll begin learning how to build our own local wireless network.

If you have expertise in Digital Privacy, security, surveillance, or wireless networks

  • Check out the detailed curriculum guide and leave comments on topic areas you think should be added or changed
  • leave comments with links to any other lesson plans or curricula you think could be useful

If you want to remix or replicate this in your community

  • Email Maya Wagoner at mayawagon@gmail.com to set up a call to walk through what worked, didn't work, and was surprising about the first round.
  • Make a copy of the Curriculum Guide, and update it as you see fit
  • Fork this repository!
  • Send a message to Maya so she can promote and support your group!
