there may be someone from the community who donates money to keep the project active and running.

One advantage of this is that when an open project grows, there are several issues to resolve. So, in an open project that is in the growth and recurring maintenance phase, there is a growing need to have its own team to make the recurrence of updates more flexible. For some, money means greater autonomy, especially when developing something so good for everyone.

But money itself may not make sense to everyone. Because some prefer to do things out of love and voluntariness. I don't know what the objective of this project is, whether it is something more commercial or not. But it would be worth thinking about whether it could be more commercial or not.
