This is part process, part branching, part coding.

Here are some ways this problem manifests

  • Tests like verify_capabilities and loaded_upgrade make assumptions about what version is being tested.
  • Different versions of riak have different dependencies which conflict with the dependencies in the rebar.config
  • Test infrastructure changes should be independent of riak_version

This requires some thought leadership
