If for Folder Compare you untick Show Different Items, and then close winmerge, when you reopen it is still unticked.
I would suggest that remembering these Show items options is a hazard because it's easy to forget they have been unticked and miss something important, for example you might have unticked Differences. It would be unlikely that having too many ticked would be a hazard.
I would recommend that on starting the Winmerge process they all start ticked.
Alternatively, perhaps after a certain time of non-use of winmerge has elapsed (whether reopening winmerge or not), for example 30 mins, they could revert to reticked for a new compare.
If anyone wants them remembered perhaps there could be an option to, but I don't think it should be the default...
